Sartell Slang has a new and very popular slang term for you this week. Teenagers currently attending SHS constantly use slang to converse with each other, and it may get a little confusing. This week’s word is highly used, so make sure you keep yourself updated!

Pronunciation: fai·ur

Merriam-Webster definition:  the phenomenon of combustion manifested in light, flame, and heat

Examples:

“Grandma’s house was burned down by a fire.”

“Be careful, don’t light your hair on fire!”

High Schooler Definition: something that is awesome or cool; exciting, outstanding, or growing in popularity 

Examples:

“Those new shoes are fire.”

“I saw your Instagram post yesterday; it was fire!”
