Austin and Mr. Nordlund have a lot in common when it comes to swimming for the Sabres.

Mr. Nordlund is a new addition to the Sartell High School teaching staff, but he’s been around for a long time. He is a Sabre through and through!

What do you want the students to know about you?

Mr. Nordlund loves disc golf! He described himself as an “avid disc golfer.” He also is into beekeeping which helps support his love for honey. He said one of his beehives will produce around 100-150lbs of honey a year.

What does Mr. Nordlund do for the Sabres?

He doesn’t spend all of his time on the disc golf course (although he might wish he could). Mr. Nordlund is a business teacher at Sartell High School. He has been teaching at Sartell for two years and previously taught at St. Michael-Albertville. He serves as the diving coach for the boys’ and girls’ team.

Life before Teaching

Mr. Nordlund is a Sartell graduate. He was a member of the Sabres swim and dive team. He also was a member of the Sartell track and field team where he excelled at pole vaulting. Mr. Nordlund was also a collegiate pole vaulter.
