Many Sartell students take advantage of their extra time during the summer and get a job. Although it seems like a pretty easy task to accomplish, getting a job can be harder than you think and even harder sometimes to find a job that you really enjoy! I have interviewed some of the Sartell student body and gotten a few suggestions on fun summer jobs!

“I have worked at Caribou Coffee in Sartell for a little under a year,” Sartell senior Megan Sieben says. She enjoys the discounted coffee and the amazing people she works with. “Caribou Coffee is always hiring and needing some new, determined, friendly workers?”

Erin Stone currently works at St. Francis Xavier Catholic school and church and will continue to work there throughout the summer. Erin shared, “I am a childcare supervisor and a teacher for the children. I love working with the kids and making a difference in their lives.” Senior, Morgan Grasswick, also works at St. Francis Xavier with Erin.

Senior, Alison Koopman will be working at Fudgin’ Delicious Ice Cream and Home Decor, which is a new store in the mall that opens in May. “I am super excited because it is something different that the Sartell area has not had before.” When asked how it is different, Alison responds, “They have not only 40 different flavors of ice cream [but also have]  super cute home decor and a Christmas section all year round.”

Harper Atkinson, senior at Sartell High School works at Gary’s pizza in St. Joe and will continue to work there during the summer. “It is a really relaxing environment and you get a discount on the pizza,” Harper says. When asked what is the most interesting thing he has seen on the job, he responds, “My bosses car keys were stolen out of his vehicle when it was running and lots of stupid, intoxicated college kids.”

Kassy Markey works at Lunds and Byerly’s in St Cloud. She enjoys working there because the people are fun and they make the work enjoyable. Kassy adds, “They are having a hiring event in April if anyone is interested!”

Emma Rasmusen, a junior at Sartell, works at Herberger’s in downtown St. Cloud. She enjoys the customers because they are funny and her coworkers are great as well!

Tiana Mick is working at the Grand View apartments as a receptionist. The residents are very polite and sweet, and she enjoys all of her coworkers as well!
