There are a lot of families that spend time outdoors fishing. Many people also have custom rods, and people will spend the money for a nice rod. You can go fishing any season and at any time. You can fish anywhere with water, like lakes, rivers, oceans, ponds. It’s super fun because you are not for sure if you’re going catch anything, and when you do, you get really happy and you can just be chilling on land or a boat.
What makes fishing fun?
It’s relaxing, and you’re in nature, and if you’re river fishing, you just hear the water running, and it is so peaceful. My brother and I go fishing all the time. We usually go river fishing, and we stay out until 1:30-3 am in the morning. Fishing on the lake is fun, especially when you’re on a boat. You can get to any fishing spot you want, depending on how big your boat is and the sound of the waves hitting your boat.
Who taught me how to fish?
My dad and brother have taught me a bunch about fishing, like how to tie a hook and how to rig up a fishing pole. They also taught me how to drive a boat and gave me some tips, like using certain lures at a certain time, like morning, day, or night, and don’t fish the same spot if you’re not catching anything. They also taught me about how to find a different area or try different lures, and change the speeds of the lures.
What are some common fish?
There are many fish, but the most common are northern, walleye, bass, crappie, sunfish, catfish, and carp. People will mostly fish for these fish in places where there are fishing at regular lakes or rivers. My favorite fish to catch is pike, catfish, bass, carp, walleye, and trout.
What season of fishing is best?
Summer fishing is the best in my opinion, because it’s usually warm and sunny. Summer fishing, you can be on a boat, on a dock, or on the shoreline, and you can usually catch bigger fish in the summer because you have a bigger and stronger pole. Ice fishing is fun as well because you get to sit on the ice and use a live scope or Vexlar. It also kind of sucks beacuse its cold and you have to haul out a bunch of gear if you don’t have a fish house.
What is the best fishing gear to have?
I would say it’s important to have tackle boxes, a backpack, a flashlight, a knife, and a fishing net. I would recommend waders if you’re fly fishing. You should also have live bait or lures, fishing line, a pair of pliers, extra gas, a compass, and a fish finder. If you’re just fishing for smaller fish, a regular pole of any kind will do. If you’re fishing for bigger fish, you need to have a heavier pole. Pike would be considered bigger, along with catfish.
