WrestleMania, August 19th, the World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line in the Feud Fueled By Hate.
CM Punk stands tall as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Back in January, Roman Reigns won the 30-man Royal Rumble and earned the right to face any champion of his choice at WrestleMania… Reigns chose to face Punk.
On the surface, this feud looks like a simple champion-versus-challenger match, but it is way deeper than that.
These two guys represent different ways to become successful in the WWE. CM Punk represents the grind of making himself the “Top Guy,” “The Second City Saint,” the “Voice of the Voiceless,” and he carved his way from the indies, built his character from a nobody to the Best In The World.

Roman Reigns comes from a royal family in the WWE. The man born into greatness, he was hand-chosen to be the “Tribal Chief” and face of the WWE.
The past few Monday Night Raws, this feud has been taken to the next level, and it continues to do so. The two guys have been going back and forth, dropping insults and taking cheap shots at each other like Punk crossing the line, promising he would bury Reigns next to his father. Reigns is calling Punk “Washed” and “Old.”
This feud is based on jealousy.
Punk is jealous that Roman got handed everything, and Reigns is jealous that Punk has connections with the fans, which is something that is earned, not given.
In the end, this match is more than just a championship match.
This is about proving who is the top guy, about their legacy, pride
Most importantly, it’s about tearing the other man down, until one man is left with his back on the mat, staring into the lights and he hears the fans roaring screams… defeated, as the ref counts to three.
