During the April 13th game, Byron Buxton would go on to break the home run record in the bottom of the fifth at Target Field with a solo shot to center field.
It was Buxton’s 85th home run of his career at Target Field as he surpassed Max Kepler’s previous 84 home run record. It was Buxton’s first home run of the year, following his personal record last year with 35 home runs.
Even with Buxton being notorious for injuries, this cements him in Twins history as one of the best Twins players in the Twins’ history at Target Field.
