DECA stands for Distributive Education Clubs of America. It is a global high school and college level program that prepares students for careers in marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, hospitality, and management. It mixes class room knowledge with competitive events that allow members of DECA to show their business knowledge through some events like presentations, written exams and role plays. Students in DECA will participate in districts, then advance to state, and if they place at state, they will advance to internationals to compete with the best in the nation. DECA helps to connect students with professional networks, and build leadership, presentation, and communication skills.
With it being the 3rd year that the Sartell high school has offered the DECA program they had 15 students make it and attend SCDC in Minneapolis on March 1-3
