Brandon Testa is the owner of the new Three Tees Golf and Social, which is located on Pine Cone Road. He is someone who believes in his community and who is dedicated to making his community better. He bought the course for friends and family to have another place to hang out and play golf. One more reason is that he wanted to bring another restaurant and bar to Sartell.
The course opened up under the name of Three Tees Golf and Social in the spring of 2025. Testa bought the place from the city in May 2023, but the city said that the land has to stay a golf course for at least 30 years.
Testa also bought the course because it was in the center of the city, and he knew that it would attract people to stop by if they were on a walk to grab a bite to eat or a drink. It is very easy for kids in the community to get there because they can bike or walk. He also bought it for a place to open a restaurant because he is used to owning and running one.
Testa grew up in St. Cloud and went to high school. He graduated and then went to college in Boulder, Colorado. After that, he moved back to Minnesota. He knew the whole time he would eventually work for himself or by himself. When he came back to Minnesota, he worked for his dad. Bob Testa was the original owner of House of Pizza. When the time came for his dad to retire, Brandon took the business over, and it took off!
Testa has owned three House of Pizza locations. He used to have one in Sartell, but then the rent for the building got too high, so he closed that one. The one in downtown St. Cloud closed because he couldn’t find enough workers. Brandon now has one open restaurant in St. Cloud that is fully up and going. He is working on a little one coming to the Coborns’ in Sartell, also. It will have takeout and delivery with a little bit of seating. Brandon is used to owning a restaurant and bar, so that part should be easy for him.
Opening a golf course and a restaurant for the community is a new adventure for Testa. The golf course will provide a nice space for local friends and family to come together and have fun. There might be a few problems this year with the course because he has never owned a golf course before, but the restaurant part won’t be hard for him. A few of the issues might be the irrigation because it was built on a swamp, but they have been working on that since last year. Brandon also made a few upgrades to the course by making the bunkers better and getting new golf carts.
Testa lives by his values. To him, giving back to the community is an important aspect of his life. He sponsors a lot of the Sartell sports teams, especially the hockey team. All of the meals before games come from him, and when there are fundraisers, he is always supporting and sponsoring. Testa is continually thinking about the community and wants to give back because that is how relationships are built, and the city feels supported. He also likes to support because it gets his business and brand name out there to draw more people to his restaurants and course.
Threes Tees Golf and Social is a public 9-hole course that has an easy layout with a nice driving range and practice green. It also has a brand new clubhouse with a great bar and grill. Three Tees will be a good spot to host a little party. The outdoor space surrounding the restaurant will be a beautiful place to gather. Stop by and check it out!
