La La Land Kind Café is a trending coffee chain that started in Dallas, Texas in 2019. Since it’s opening, they have expanded all across the west, they now have 24 locations primarily in southern California and Texas. Recently La La Land opened a location in Scottsdale, Arizona which is their first location in AZ.
La La Land became popular in 2021 when there cafes blew up on TikTok. Videos showcased “Drive-By Kindness” where employees gave compliments to strangers. These videos showed off the companies mission which is to promote kindness and create opportunities for youth aging out of the foster care system. Their motto is “kindness first, coffee second.”
Another part of the brand that drew in lots of customers was the fun drinks. Their menu has everything from latte’s to strawberry matchas. Their “Banana Cloud Latte” and “Strawberry Cloud Latte” are two of their most popular drinks. The menu also features different foods and a kids menu, which most coffee shops do not have. La La Land also has super pretty cafes which pull in lots of Gen-Z customers just for the cups of the drinks and aesthetic of the cafe. Many influencers and celebrities also rave about the drinks here like Disney channel stars Milo Manheim and Meg Donelley. Another big celeb who loves La La Land is country artist, Megan Moroney. She collabed with them for a surprise pop-up in Nashville to promote her song.
Recently, when I was in the Beverly Hills, I stopped by a La La Land Cafe to try out their Strawberry Cloud Matcha. The line and wait was very long and in total I spent 30ish minute waiting for my drink. I do give them grace though because this location was very busy and the baristas had great customer service despite how chaotic it was at the time. As for the drink itself, I loved it so much and would give it a 10/10. The Strawberry Cloud Matcha is a ceremonial iced matcha latte with strawberry cold foam on top. My cousin tried the Banana Cloud Latte and I would give that a 10/10 as well.
