The bittersweet reality of senior year

Enjoying every single bit of your senior year is important…the good and the sad.

Senior year has also made me appreciate my family more deeply. I am grateful to have such loving and supportive parents who are proud of my accomplishments and excited for my future. I know things will not be the same after I leave for college, and accepting that reality has been one of the hardest parts of senior year. The little moments mean the most to me, like eating dinner together, going to fun places, and even just simply talking to each other. I know my parents are full of mixed emotions. They’re proud of everything I’ve done, but I know it’s hard for them to watch me get older and start my next chapter. And honestly, I feel the same way. It’s scary and exciting at the same time, but knowing they’re behind me makes it a little easier to face what’s ahead.
