The Minnesota Vikings played the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland on October 5th during week 5 of the NFL season.
The Vikings played a great game defeating the Browns 21-17.
Starting quarterback for the Vikings Carson Wentz played a fantastic game completing 24/35 passing attempts while throwing for 236 yards and a touchdown. The Vikings used a trick play which was a 3 yard passing touchdown thrown from running back Cam Akers to tight end Josh Oliver.
Starting running back for the Vikings Jordan Mason played a great game despite not rushing for very many yards. He carried the ball 13 times for 52 yards and a touchdown. He also made very crucial big runs on third down to keep the ball in their possession.
While the Vikings didn’t score that much, their defense only allowed 17 points. Ivan Pace Jr. led the Vikings defense with 3 tackles and one huge sack which was a huge play on third and long knocking the Browns out of field goal range.
The Browns starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel couldn’t keep up with the Vikings. He completed 19/33 passing attempts while throwing for 190 yards and two touchdown passes. Starting in the backfield for the Browns was Quinshon Judkins who played a great game as well rushing for 110 yards on 23 carries.
The Vikings have a bye week on week six.
