The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Cincinnati Bengals, 48-10, at home on Sunday, Sept. 21st.
The Vikings’ cornerback Isaiah Rodgers had the best defensive game a single Vikings’ player has ever had. Forcing two huge fumbles and one interception. Returning one of these fumbles and one of these interceptions into a touchdown for the Vikings. It wasn’t just Rodgers who showed out the rest of the Vikings’ defense was playing lights out with sacks, tackles and breaking up good throws.

With rookie quarterback JJ McCarthy out for the Vikings, they had to resort to back up quarterback Carson Wentz. Wentz completed 14 of his 20 passing attempts while throwing for two touchdowns. Running back Jordan Masen also had a fantastic week with 16 carries for 116 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The Bengals’ offense struggled against the Vikings’ defense. The Vikings only allowed 53 total rushing yards and with 21 rushing attempts. The Bengals also struggled with the Vikings’ passing defense while we only allowed 140 total passing yards.
What a team victory for the Vikings and hopefully they carry this momentum into next week’s game against the Steelers.
