Project 37 has purchased a permanent building in downtown St. Cloud.
Project 37 is a nonprofit organization that provides safe and sober shows for people of all ages. They welcome younger musicians to perform and enjoy music.
Back in August 2024, Oblivion coffee shop in downtown St. Cloud closed due to ongoing building issues. In October, Project 37 set goals to purchase the building and have a permanent venue for their shows. Throughout the fall, they had fundraisers and generous donations to help them reach the goal of $75,000 for the building.
They plan to reopen the coffee shop area and host many shows. Upstairs is a giant office space for them to run their organization and a large gathering space they will use as a classroom. It has always been their goal to host classes and tutoring, and with this space, they can do that.
With the support of the local communities, they were able to meet the $75,000 goal in about three months. Their next project is to build a stage for their new space. They have a fundraiser at the Paramount Theater called Battle of the Bands, where six bands will play, each with two original songs. This will happen on May 7th at 6:30 pm, and tickets can be purchased on the Paramount’s website.
