« Kampa’s backstory »
Kampa grew up in Andover, MN with her parents and two siblings, one brother and one sister. She went to Andover High School and played hockey, volleyball, and softball, she also played hockey at St Cloud State for college and went to get her phy ed teaching license and was working with the Special Olympics while getting that license. Working in the Special Olympics introduced her to special education and then she became a para at Royalton. After being a para for two years, Kampa got her special education teaching license and has been a teacher at Sartell for 9 years. She also was a hockey coach for the girls’ high school team at Sartell-Sauk Rapids for 8 years.

If you weren’t a teacher what would you do?
My first semester at college was actually for meteorology, so I would have loved to be a meteorologist or sports news anchor.
Why did you choose to be a teacher?
I enjoy seeing people smile and being able to support and help influence children’s lives.

Our family enjoys spending a lot of time together, during our time together we love going golfing, and anything involving sports, we love doing bingo and meat raffles, and watching movies.

The Kampas are a very loving family. This family consists of Brian Kampa, Alex Kampa, Xander Kampa, Max Kampa, and Cabela the chocolate Lab! Brian and Alex Kampa met in college and have been together for almost 8 years, and they couldn’t be happier with their lives.
