Minnesota United are doing phenomenal at the start of this 2025 season with a standing of 4-2-1.
The Loons began their season with an unfortunate 0-1 defeat against LAFC on February 22, 2025. Minnesota quickly rebounded with consecutive 1-0 victories over both CF Montréal and San Jose Earthquakes. The team made a show of resilience against LA Galaxy on March 22, 2025 with a 2-2 draw with Striker Kelvin Yeboah scoring twice, including a late penalty.
Offensively, forwards Kelvin Yeboah and Tani Oluwaseyi have been instrumental in the team’s success. Yeboah has contributed four goals, while Oluwaseyi leads the team with five goals. Midfielder Joaquín Pereyra has also been a key playmaker, providing four assists. Defensively, the team’s disciplined structure has limited opponents’ opportunities, allowing only seven goals in as many matches.
As the season progresses, Minnesota United aims to maintain their strong form and solidify their position as contenders in the Western Conference. Their balanced approach, combining a solid defensive setup with an efficient counterattacking offense, positions them well for continued success in the 2025 MLS season.
