I have made these adjustments to my daily routine, and its improved my mental and physical outlook. If you could fit up to 30-60 minutes of exercise a day into your schedule, it will most definitely improve your mental health, and also physical health. It also will create consistency and overall develop your self esteem.
Some examples
-Try a workout class! Ex. hot yoga, Zumba, pilates, weight training, etc.
-Go for a walk outside.
-Try a gym membership.
-Take a swim, indoor or outdoors.
The list could go on.
It’s important to find something you enjoy, personally I love taking walks. Whenever I take walks, I invite a friend or family member, or simply put some headphones on and zone out! I have found that it improves my mood, and makes me feel productive.
Some of these long school/work days can feel constant. We can get into a “never ending cycle.” Finding something you can distract yourself from, and create excitement, can make these long days feel a bit shorter, and not so never ending.

-Make fun excursion plans with family or friends.
Ex. Getting food, going shopping, etc.
-Reward yourself and get a fun drink.
Ex. Starbucks, Scooters, Dunkin, etc.
-Find upcoming events in your personal life to look forward to.
Ex. A vacation, a concert, etc.
-Develop a list of goals or aspirations.
It’s as simple as that!
This could have many different meanings to people. But challenging yourself or finding something that gets you outside of your comfort zone can lead you to learning new things about yourself. There is nothing like the feeling of accomplishment. If you give yourself a challenge in your daily life it can improve your confidence, and self esteem.

Some ways to challenge yourself!
-Learn a new skill.
-Explore a new hobby.
-Be consistent with exercise.
-Try to read for 10 minutes a day.
-Try journaling everyday.
