Country music icon Dolly Parton’s husband, Carl Dean, passed away at age 82. The two were married for nearly 60 years, and throughout their marriage the couple stayed mostly private.
Dean died in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday, March 3rd, 2025. Parton posted a statement on social media regarding the passing of her late husband.
Though he tended to stay out of the spotlight, Dean had a huge influence on Dolly’s music, with notable hit’s such as “Jolene” and “9 to 5”.
Now, two weeks after Carl’s death, Dolly has released a statement on how she is handling the grief better than she thought she would.
