Over the weekend, a strong storm swept through the Midwest and southern states resulting in at least 42 people dead.
This powerful storm included tornadoes, dust storms, and wildfires. In Oklahoma, there were over 130 reports of wildfires on Friday, which destroyed over 400 homes and resulted in four deaths.
In Missouri and Mississippi, a total of 19 people were confirmed dead due to tornados. The preliminary count of tornados on Friday was 46 and 41 on Saturday. These tornados ranged from EF-2s to EF-3s.
In Alabama, Texas, Kansas, and Arkansas 17 deaths were reported due to intense dust storms. These dust storms resulted in at least 50 crashes Friday, which killed eleven people.
Since then, a blizzard warning has just been issued stretching from Iowa and Nebraska up to Minnesota.
