Michelle Trachtenberg was an actress most commonly known for her roles in Gossip Girl and Buffy the Vampire Slayer; she died on February 27th, 2025.
Michelle Christine Trachtenberg was born on October 11, 1985, and grew up along with her older sister and two parents. She was born in New York, however, moved to Los Angeles early on in life. Trachtenberg began presenting herself on screen at the age of 3. By the age of 10, she was making regular appearances on Nickelodeon shows.
Wednesday morning, she was found unresponsive in her apartment located in New York City. The medical team was prepared to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death, but Trachtenberg’s family has objected to the autopsy. Last year, the actress had a liver transplant, potentially causing her body to reject the organ and die of natural causes.
