Bailey Ober started on the mound for the Twins and pitched 4.0 innings while giving up three runs and striking out four Ray batters. The Twins handed the ball off to their bullpen in the 5th and they were able to shut down the Rays offense until Anthony Banda gave up one run in the 8th inning. Kody Funderburk was the winning pitcher for the Twins in this game. The Twins bats were alive in this game as they were able to win this game 10-4. The Twins got the scoring going in the 4th inning on an RBI double by Josh Bell. The Twins really began to pull away in the 7th inning when Byron Buxton was hit by a pitch to leadoff the inning. Buxton was forced to leave the game and the team later announced that X-Rays showed no fracture. The big moment in this game for the Twins was a grand slam off the bat of Tristan Gray to cap off a 7 run 7th inning. Other notable performances from the Twins offense include Luke Keaschall going 2-5 with two runs scored, Josh Bell going 2-5 with 2 RBIs and 2 Runs scored, and Ryan Jeffers going 1-3 with 2 runs scored.
