Orange is commonly associated with energy, brightness, warmth, enthusiasm, strength, and excitement. Too much orange can be overwhelming or cause anxiety. It can also be an attention grabber like yellow because it is so visible. 

Orange, for some cultures, is spiritual and is used in meditation and religious ceremonies. Orange can be tied to nature for its autumn trees and setting sun. 

Orange can have negative connotations as well. It is the color of U.S. prison uniforms. 

It grabs attention, which is why it is commonly used in traffic cones and road signs.
