Sartell Alumni Hannah Spoden graduated back in 2022; she still misses some of the memories she had as a Sabre.
Hannah had many accomplishments when attending Sartell High School. She was a part of the varsity team for Cross Country and Track and Field since the 7th grade. When Hannah was a freshman, she qualified for state for Cross Country. Hannah was also on the High School Breakaways DownHill ski team from 10th-12th grade. She has been skiing since she was four years old and started racing at the age of 7. She considers Powder Ridge as her second home and would say that skiing is a big part of her life.
Hannah just recently turned 21 and is a junior at South Dakota State. She is a Division 1 runner in Cross Country and Track and Field. She currently lives in a house in the town of Brookings with her three other roommates.
Hannah’s indoor track season started early December. She has been absolutely crushing it this season! She PR’d in her first race of the season in the 800 meter. She also made it into the the SDSU Top Ten All-Time list two times so far. She made it in the 6th spot in the Top Ten in the 1000 meter with a time of 2:57.89 placing 4th in her event. She also made the 7th all time in the top ten in the 500 meter, placing 4th with a time of 1:17.19.
Hannah would consider herself an adventurous and outgoing individual. She loves being out in nature and going on various camping/road trips. The best place she has been to was Glacier National Park. She also enjoys going out with her friends and hanging out with her family.
