With Donald Trump back in office as of January 20th 2025, he has already declared that America will be a manufacturing country once again by saying “drill baby drill” because America sits on the largest oil deposit in the world.

He stated that “We are a rich nation. It’s the liquid gold under our feet that will help us ensure that we keep things this way.”

Trump plans to unshackle the oil and gas industry from tight emissions while Biden was in office.

Trump will also be pulling out of the Paris climate agreement as he once did when he was first in office in 2017. Many people do not support this idea of using the earth’s natural resources, but Trump sees the country’s future in it. America has the largest oil and petroleum deposit in the world. Even when Biden was in office, America still beat Saudi Arabia and Russia by a long shot. 

The president noted “Leave the oil to me. We have more liquid gold than any country in the world. We have more than Saudi Arabia. We have more than Russia.”

Trump is also going after the Panama Canal which would be a key asset to exporting oil to Asia. The canal is a man-made pathway connecting the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. It was built by the U.S. in 1914.

The U.S. and Chinese use the canal the most or importing and exporting goods. Trump feels that Panama is favoring China when it comes to charging vessels for passing through.

Trump noted in his speech that “The U.S. has been treated very, very badly by Panama after gifting the canal to them. It is a gift that we did not need to make. We didn’t give the Panama Canal to china. We gave it to Panama, and we will be taking it back!”

Panama did not like the statement Trump gave about the canal, and they say it will remain Panamanian but that will not put an end to trump’s drive. As he states that the U.S. is back in its golden age.
