The first song is Springsteen by Eric Church. This song reminds me of being on the lake and lake days in general. Whether we were tanning by the water or tubing on the boat this song was also playing. Being on the boat with my friends is always some of the most memorable moments of summer. Whenever I hear the opening guitar strums, I immediately think of summer and am filled with nostalgia of all the memories from past summer that I have made with this song.

The next three songs are all songs that remind me of spending time at the golf course. Whether I was with friends, family, or just myself, golfing was the highlight of my summer. Hearing the songs 7 Summers by Morgan Wallen, Nine Ball by Zach Bryan, and Sandpaper by Zach Bryan all bring me back to golfing in the warm weather and getting bad tan lines from my golf shoes and apple watch. Over this past summer, I golfed nearly every day with my friend Taylor. Listening to these songs remind me of all of our silly moments in the club house and even our tempered moments on the course.

Doses and Mimosas by Cherub is by far the song that will remind me of summer most. This song without a fail gives off all the summer vibes, and the amount of memories I have associated with this song are endless. This song reminds me most of a perfect summer evening where me and my friends go to get ice cream, drive around at sunset, and take cute photos together. The feeling of not being on a super strict schedule is what makes summer so special and freeing for me and the song Doses and Mimosas sounds like that feeling.

Every summer my family goes to California to visit my grandma, cousins, and other family; over the years I’ve made many memories on these visits. We go to the beach, shop, and hangout by my grandma’s pool. The time spent in California with my family is always one of my best parts of summer and the song The Thrill by Wiz Khalifa and Empire Of The Sun always makes me reminisce on the fun times tanning in the UV 12 and exploring Los Angeles!

A summer tradition (or more so hobby) my friends and I have is making friendship bracelets. We always bring our string to wherever we are going so when we get bored we can work on our bracelet. I have collected lots of bracelets over the course of many summers, and seeing them, brings back so many nostalgic memories. The song Pursuit of Happiness by Kid Cudi reminds me of all the chill summer days and evenings spent with friends making bracelets, going on walks, and taking late night drives with the windows rolled down blasting this song!

My last song is New Romantics by Taylor Swift. This past summer my friend group went to Valleyfair and spent the day there! We made it a very busy day as we left in the morning, got breakfast, drove to Valleyfair, rode all the rides, went to the waterpark, and then went to Wingstop before going home. The song New Romantics by Taylor Swift is a song that perfectly correlates with this day because of its upbeat rhythm and light hearted lyrics!
