My family and I have been visiting Fairhaven Farms since I was a child. The fall season has always been my favorite, and going to memorable places like this really makes this time of the season even more special. We have come here on multiple occasions during the fall season and during the summer season. Fairhaven Farms has been opened to the public since 1985. Marsha Anklam bought these farms as a single women with a dream of creating a beautiful fruit farm. A few years after owning Fairhaven Farms, David Macgregor, came into the picture and joined forces with Marsha to build an apple orchard and to add onto the strawberry felids.
My favorite place on the farm is their little shop in the main barn. My family and I always walk out of the shop with a handful of goodies. Our go-to’s are their apple crisp, honey crisp apples, and strawberry jam. Their desserts are absolutely delicious and I always look forward to eating them. The shop has a magical, cozy, and historical feel to it that I enjoy every time. Besides the shop, my other favorite parts about this farm is the corn maze and fruit orchards. Every year they have a different theme for their corn maze and this year’s was Alice in Wonderland. The corn maze is always super fun to do with my family and we almost always get lost in it. As for the fruit orchards, whenever we visit in the summer time we always come back with multiple buckets filled with strawberries and raspberries.
Another bonus of visiting this farm is running into many of the animals that live on the farm. The day we visited we met the sweetest dog named Doug, a couple of cats, and lots of chickens. There are a lot of picture worthy spots on this farm, so if you’re looking for a spot to take some fall photos, definitely check this farm out!
