On Monday, January 15th 2024 , Marc-Andre-Fleury became the second most winning goaltender beating the New York Islanders 5-0.

Marc-Andre-Fleury surpassed Patrick Roy for sole possession of second place on the all-time wins list for NHL goalies. Fleury stopped all 21 shots he faced earning a shutout in a very historic night. Fleury recorded his 74th shutout all time and now he only trails Martin Brodeur who sits in first with 691 wins all time.

Fleury is likely to retire after this season so there is no chance of him beating Brodeur. It is very unlikely that anyone will ever beat his record. The next highest currently playing goaltender is Jonathan Quick, and he is sitting at 784 wins.
