Now presenting this years homecoming King and Queen
September 20, 2022
On September 18th, the first night of homecoming week, Sartell High School presented their homecoming king and queen in a night full of dance and fun activities. The night started out with the introduction of this year’s homecoming royalty. The royalty includes, Emily Crandall, David Binsfeld, Ella Gainsforth, Anthony Mahowald, Dylan Simones, Mallory Apple, Donovan Lund, Avery Templin, Ellie Rengel, Kelechi Nwachukwu, Aidan Lang, Reese Geiger, Breyhin Lewandowski, and Tyler Hemmesch. Teacher royalty included Jared Saue and Vanessa Brenny, and the Junior royalty included Gracie Anderson and Corbin Scherer. 11th grade royalty includes Madalyn Dockendorf and Eli Hanson, 10th grade royalty includes Elizabeth Lo and Joshua Orjansen, and 9th grade royalty includes Abigail Sandborn and Bennett Bommersbach.
Once all of the royalty were on stage, the teacher royalty played a friendly game of movie trivia. There was no clear winner between the two as the questions proved to be harder than they originally thought.
After the trivia competition, the senior royalty showcased their dance ability with a friendly dance competition. Each pair of royalty danced to a small section of a song of their choice. Each song was chosen from a popular movie and the dances were judged by the teacher royalty. Breyhin Lewendowski and Tyler Hemmesch won the competition and were given a prize of a trophy and a bunch of candy.
The last part of the night was filled with the announcement of this year’s homecoming king and queen. Tensions were high as the declaration was made. This year’s homecoming king and queen are Breyhin Lewandowski and Tyler Hemmesch.
