Austin bombing suspect identified
After a string of bombings in Texas, Mark Anthony Conditt was identified as the suspect after he killed himself early Wednesday from an explosion in his car.
An arrest warrant was issued late Tuesday night for Conditt along with a criminal complaint charging him with unlawful possession and transfer of a destructive device.
Federal agents are now searching for answers. They interviewed his roommates and searched his home, finding similar products in his house that were in the bombs used to kill two and injure more. Despite their searching, police still are unsure of the suspects motive behind the attacks.
An aunt of Conditt said that her family is “devastated and broken at the news that our family could be involved in such an awful way.”
Police have continued to warn Austin residents to be on the lookout for anything strange as there are an unknown number of bombs still around the area if any.
Trump has addressed the bombings in a statement as “terrible” and called the perpetrators “sick people.”
