Pets of Sartell

Pets of Sartell is a weekly article where people’s pets get a chance to shine like the stars they are.

The first pet this week is Copper Jokela. He lives with senior Matt Jokela and his family. Copper is a Shih Tzu Pomeranian mix and grew up with his previous wonderful family for the first seven years of his life. One of the family members developed allergies to dogs, and so the family needed to find a new home for Copper. Copper was adopted by the Jokela family and is now ten years old. He is super chill and loves to nap on pillows. He enjoys eating but does not really like to play with toys. A fun fact about Copper is that his old family used to give him carrots as treats, so he will dance on his hind legs for a delicious orange carrot.

The second pet of the week is Zeppelin. This cute cat belongs to seniors Kaden Garcia and Logan Schoon. Zeppelin is 6 years old and was a stray cat that was being sold at Petsmart. Kaden loves Zeppelin because he is a really fluffy cute cat. They decided to name him Zeppelin because of the band Led Zeppelin, and because Jensen Ackles, from the TV show Supernatural, named his kid Zeppelin. Zeppelin really enjoys attention and will even put his paws under a closed door until you open the door. He does not have a favorite toy because he loves attacking everything. Zeppelin enjoys jumping up on the bed and getting pet but will roll over until he falls off of the bed.
