The Minnesota AP III%

I have a little story: I was one-day doing homework in the conference room of a coffee shop in town. I had left to go talk to a friend, and once I came back, there was a group of people sitting at the other table having a meeting. I thought nothing of it, until…I heard a gentleman say, “Well someone asked me if we were trying to overthrow the government, and that is essentially the goal.” Naturally, it caught my attention.

After several minutes of pretending to do my homework, and hearing a lot of misogynistic, islamophobic, and anti-semitic comments, I politely left the room. I cooled off, came back and started writing things down. It was a very stereotypical regime. ‘Merica hats, ‘Merica socks, and a whole lot of camouflage. Once they started to leave, I mustered up enough courage to ask them what type of group or organization they were.

They all sharply looked down as if they were ashamed. In a timid voice, their leader said, “We—are a group—of very patriotic people—in support of our constitution.”

*gulp*

I replied, “Okay, so do you have a name for your (hate) group?”

A group member answers, “The Minnesota AP III%”.

I didn’t truly understand what that was until they pulled up their facebook page for me. Yikes

They do some undermining work with “America first” kind of speech. They haven’t been active in participating in marches, from my knowledge, however, this is where it begins.

Sir, there is a difference between being patriotic and being a nationalist.
