The Andersons

The next student under the Teacher’s Kid spotlight is David Anderson, a senior in the high school. His father, Mr. R.K. Anderson, teaches College English and English 10. I met with David and asked him a few questions about school.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Tech Education classes.

Q: You are a very accomplished athlete. Which sport is your favorite?

A: Nordic skiing.

Q: Have you ever had your dad as a teacher?

A: Nope, never had a class with him.

Q: Mr. Anderson is known for his coffee. What’s your opinion on coffee?

A: (Coffee cup in hand) I drink about two or three cups a day, all from my Dad’s room.

Q: What’s the most embarrassing moment you’ve had with your father at school?

A: Two minutes ago, as I was leaving his room, he said to the class, “senior girls, this is my son, David Anderson.”

Q: What’s the best part about having your dad at your high school?

A: The free coffee. I think he brews a Colombian Roast.
