Although junior year of high school is always said to be the hardest, that doesn’t mean it isn’t a memorable year filled with all of the best high school experiences. From balancing school, sports, and a social life it creates a busy year. All throughout my junior year my friends and I made the most of our free time, here are some of the best moments from this past school year!

To start off the list we have football games. FNL always makes the start of the school year more exciting because you have a football game to look forward to at the end of each week. The football part was not necessarily the fun part of it, but being with your friends and getting ready, shopping for fun outfits to match the theme, doing the cheers, and hanging out after is all part of the experience. Although we didn’t win more than one game memories like making signs to bring, staying out late afterwards, and looking at all of the pictures the next day make games so fun.
Homecoming week holds so many memories every year and this year the weather was good all week making it perfect and enjoyable. My freshman year was a different story when the whole football game it rained. Another part of the week that is always fun is the dance. The dance is my personal favorite of all the dances because everyone wears the homecoming shirt and comfortable shoes making it a hype dance. This year’s hoco week definitely was the best for me so far. All of my friends and I being able to drive made it more enjoyable.

Swim season this year looked way different than my sophomore and freshman seasons. Being an upperclassmen was a huge change, and it felt like a whole new team because all of my friends graduated last year. It was probably for the better though because I was able to make new friends with underclassmen. Having one year of swimming left is a crazy thought, junior season was filled with lots of accomplishments and memories. I met lots of my time goals and also worked on focusing on enjoying meets instead of stressing.

This year winter was spent with visits from my college friends and looking forward to events like winter formal. Winter always sucks because I have nothing to do but I started going to lots of yoga with my mom and doing homework. Golfing was also a big part of my winter, trying to stay conditioned for the upcoming season. Other than those activities my friends and I spent tons of money at TJ Maxx and spent time watching winter sports.

Each spring when golf comes around life gets super busy. For golf, I miss lots of school and barely feel like I’m here. I spend tons of time making up the work that I’ve missed but it is all worth it. We have 2 or 3 meets per week and this year we have 3 overnight trips. 2 at our sections course and 1 in Brainerd. The trips are extra fun because we get to go out to eat together, make smores, play cards, swim, and stay up late. Some of the best memories are after golf meets debriefing our rounds and all the girls we golfed with. Spending so much time together makes us a close team.
One of the events I was looking most forward to was prom. My friends and I were planning all school year too make sure we had the perfect prom day and had been looking at dresses since summer. Even though it was a very chaotic day we had so much fun. We started the day with a brunch where we also made our bouquets, then got ready, took lots of pictures at our friends house, and then even more pictures at Munsinger garden before going to eat dinner at Mexican Village. Prom itself wasn’t necessarily the highlight of the day, but the time spent with friends before and after made great memories.

With junior year coming to an end there were so many highlights and moments reminisce. As senior year approaches there are many emotions but lots of exciting events to look forward to during my last year of high school.
