A few weeks ago, Sabrina Carpenter released a new deluxe version of her hit album, Short n’ Sweet. She announced the deluxe album in an Instagram post as a thank you for winning her first two Grammys for “Pop Vocal Album” and “Pop Solo Performance” just two days prior. This release has been referred to as the best Valentine’s Day gift to her fans because it was released on February 14 of 2025. The standard version of the album was released on August 23 of 2024 and was all the rage for young women who like to relate to her songs that mostly talk about relationships, self empowerment, and personal growth. With over 5.8 billion Spotify streams, this album was a significant point in Sabrina’s career and solidified her status in the industry, making her one of the most popular, and successful modern music artists. Some of the most notable songs were Espresso, Bed Chem, Good Graces, and Please Please Please.

The new deluxe songs are likely to be hits as well. The new album consists of 4 brand new songs, and a new version of Please Please Please featuring Dolly Parton who Sabrina has been nonstop fan-girling over. Along with the new song featuring Dolly Parton, they released a new music video which is trending in the number 2 spot on Youtube. The track is getting criticized by the media with fans saying “Dolly Parton needs to fire the person responsible for her collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.” (Hookstead 2025). The media is claiming that Dolly’s vocals sound strange and the music video looks boring, and “AI generated”.

Regardless of the criticism, Sabrina Carpenter’s new version of the album is still likely to be very successful, even with a slight swing and miss of a collaboration. Fans can’t wait to see what the pop star does next and are elated to watch these new songs performed during the rest of her Short n’ Sweet tour, which has been selling out quickly and ends in April.
