Dads of Sartell

There are many Dads of Sartell worth highlighting, and I think some deserve to be in the spotlight because of their awesomeness and the role they play in Sartell High School kids’ lives.

Why are good dad’s important?

Researchers argue that dads who are actively involved in the development of their children create effective relationships with their children. Fatherhood is an emerging field of research that surrounds the effects of a good dad.

Joshua A. Krisch in The Science Of Dad And The “Father Effect” says, “Dads who live with their kids and take time out of their days to attend important events are far more likely to have a positive impact than absent fathers.”

“The quantity of interaction doesn’t really benefit kids. But if you have more high-quality, engaged parenting that does seem to be positively related to outcomes for children,” Carlson says. Marcy Carlson, Ph.D., a sociologist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, told Fatherly.

Why are good dads in the news recently?

In today’s politics, California Rep., Jimmy Gomez, was holding his baby in the chamber as rounds went on for multiple days, bringing visibility to the role of working dads across the country.

Gomez launched the Congressional Dads Caucus: “We want to show not just interest but advocacy on the issues that impact working parents,” he said.
