President Zelenskyy visiting the frontlines in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Zelensky came to the capital of the U.S. to meet with President Biden on December 22nd.  Zelensky came to the U.S. to meet with Biden mainly to strengthen resilience and defense against Russia. 

ZThe U.S. has been the main support to Ukraine and a very important ally contributing over $50 billion of humanitarian, security, and financial support.

During the meeting, Zelensky reportedly said the war could be announced over once Ukraine’s “sovereignty, freedom and territorial integrity were restored, as well as the payback for all the damages inflicted by Russian aggression.”

Ukraine will mainly be receiving $2 billion in security assistance, which includes a new missile system. It is called the Patriot missile system, a very advanced missile system that will help protect Ukrainian cities from missile attacks from Russia.

Russia may be considering the strategy of breaking down the spirit of the Ukrainian people. The U.S. Congress is also considering approving another $50 billion for aiding Ukraine.
