A lot of SHS students participate in fantasy football leagues.

Week one of the 2022 NFL Season just wrapped up, and there were a large number of players who disappointed fantasy owners this week who are poised for a big week two comeback.

Fantasy Football season has just kicked off, and many fantasy owners are going through the early season struggles. Big name players like Alvin Kamara, Derrick Henry, Aaron Rodgers,  and Ceedee disappointed managers and probably caused you to lose your own fantasy matchup this week.

Derrick Henry is the first player I expect to bounce back in week two. He disappointed fantasy managers this week with only a little over eight fantasy points in full PPR (Points Per Reception). One of the many managers who had Derrick Henry this week was Kelechi Nwachukwu, a senior at Sartell High School. He was not pleased with his performance and it caused him to lose his game this week.

He stated “He only had about eight points, when he was projected nineteen.”

When asked about the upcoming week, Nwachukwu had this to say: “I expect no less than fifteen points out of him, since they are playing a tough Buffalo Bills Defense. I need his production if I want a realistic chance at the playoffs.”

The Bills do have one of the better run defenses in the NFL, allowing less than three yards per carry week one. Don’t expect Derrick Henry to have a monster week, but he is a safe play in your lineups.

Ceedee Lamb is the second player who really disappointed fantasy managers this week. He had just under five points, in contrast to his projected seventeen. He was drafted in the second round in a majority of leagues, and many managers were left with nothing more than a loss after his performance. The Cowboys also lost Dak Prescott to injury in week one, and will most likely have to start Cooper Rush until Dak returns. This change at quarterback will most likely hurt his production, but Cooper Rush will most likely lean on him as a safety blanket. They play the Bengals in week two, who allowed very mediocre stat lines in their week one matchup. The Bengals secondary was exposed for big games often last season, and I expect Ceedee to bounce back and produce like many expected.

Aaron Rodgers is the third player who underperformed in week one of the NFL season. He produced less than five points against the Minnesota Vikings. To win a fantasy game, you usually need about twenty points from your quarterback.

Kelechi Nwachukwu also had Aaron Rodgers in another one of his fantasy leagues, and was very frustrated with his performance.

If he puts up some garbage like that again, he’s going straight to the waiver wire. I plan on putting him on the trade block this week just to see if I can get anything for him.

Aaron and the Packers comeback in week two against the Chicago Bears. Managers can expect Aaron to get back on track against a subpar Bears defense in week two.
