The Big Blue wave has been preparing for the last couple of weeks to take on their new competition in the 8AA boys’ section swim meet.

The Sabres will be at the Elk River High School on Friday, Feb. 25th at 5 pm and the finals will be held on Saturday, Feb. 26th at 3 pm. The Sabres are psyched up and ready to win it all this weekend. It should be an exciting meet to watch!

The Sabre swimmers have a lot of things to say about this weekend:

Junior, David Binsfeld, a Sabres diver, has high hopes of winning the whole meet and punching his ticket to state.

Roaring Rylan Hollenkamp said, “ I just want to break a minute in the 100 fly.”

Sophomore, Jackson Hovda, who has been raking in the points for the Sabres as of late said he hopes to punch his ticket to state and help the team win as a whole.

Senior captains, Lance Anderson and Cameron Screifels, both said they want to qualify for the state championship meet down in Minneapolis.

The Sartell boys also hope to send both the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay to state with a crew of new young guns. The Sabres are business as usual and ready to take on the 8AA section.
