This season’s title picture of The Bachelorette, and it sure is drama-filled!

Here’s your faithful recap of episode 7 of The Bachelorette on ABC; this article will contain spoilers.

If you need a quick reminder for who the guys are on the show, here is a link to their pictures and profiles.

This week starts off with a group date where the men have to write a song for Adams, but whoever’s song is the best gets a one-on-one date with her. Many of the songs were just cringe and bad, but Adams chose Ivan’s song because she liked how he invited her up next to him. Their date starts in Adams’ room where they play the floor is lava and just goofing around. They then go outside and have a very heartfelt and deep conversation. Ivan opens

up to about how he had to watch his little brother go to jail and not get to see the first few years of his daughter. Ivan talks about how he had to help raise his niece instead of her dad. He then gets into how with George Floyd there was a lot of police brutality even in jail. Adams then opens up about how the subject of race has affected her life, they both get very emotional and that helps Adams build a connection with him. After accepting the rose from Adams, they go back inside and watch some videos of Adams.

The next group date is truth or dares around the resort that they are staying at. The men have to do different and kind of dumb challenges, like drinking a smoothie with cow intestines in it, having to moan into a speaker, having Chris Harrison autograph their butts, and “proposing” to Adams by just telling her how they are feeling. Bennett hadn’t realized the feelings he was having until after he “proposed.” At the after-party, Bennett steals Adams away first and talks about how he feels amazing around her and hasn’t felt what he’s feeling since he was 18. Bennett opened up to Adams by telling her that he was engaged at 18, but it didn’t feel right and he didn’t want to have to get a divorce. Adams has a conversation with almost every man on the date, but when Zac then gets his time with Adams, they are in the hot tub and Zac also decides to open up to Adams. This must-have impressed her because Zac received the date rose.

Ben feels unresolved in the lack of communication he and Adams have had over the past couple of weeks, so he decides to go and talk to her late at night so that they cannot be disturbed. Ed, however, had the same idea. Although Ed had good intentions, he got a little lost around the resort late at night and ended up at Chris Harrison’s door. This was very awkward, but nonetheless, Harrison let Ed in and they had a glass of wine.

Ben did not have the same navigational issues and did make it to Adams’s room. They talked about how Ben was sorry for not fighting for her as much as he should have. Right after they made up, like clockwork, there was a knock on the door with champagne and strawberries waiting for them.

The last part of the episode is the cocktail party and rose ceremony. Adams only got to talk to three men before she talked with Noah. Noah decided to tell Adams that the other men in the house thought that her decision making was poor because Noah received a rose on a date that he wasn’t invited to. This might have been how Noah was feeling, but none of the men in the house had said that about Adams. This news was disturbing to Adams and she chose to end the cocktail party and go straight to the rose ceremony. When Noah told the men what he told Adams, everyone was furious; most of the men didn’t get a chance to talk to Adams before she made her decision at the rose ceremony, but it didn’t matter to Noah because he already got a rose. Jordan, Kenny, Chasen, and Joe did not receive a rose and went home.

The teaser for next week shows Bennett and Noah getting into a big enough fight that Adams has to step in. Next week will be intense, and I can’t wait.
