Why you should be excited about Fall

Do you see what I mean about the beautiful leaves?

We are officially in the full swing of fall. Instead of being sad that summer is over, be excited about all of the fun things that the season has to offer. Enjoy the little things that fall brings. Without further ado, here are 5 things, in no particular order, to get excited about this fall.

  1. The leaves are changing. Ok, sure, this does bring about a bit of yard work, but hear me out. The deep, royal reds, vibrant oranges, and honey golden browns of the leaves are a treat for the eyes. Fall, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful seasons. It’s a great time to take pictures and go on walks.
  1. Apple/Pumpkin picking. This is a great activity to do with your family or a small group of friends. It is also a good way to enjoy the beauty of the season or get some awesome Instagram pics. Then afterward, you can make some delicious apple pie or carve up those pumpkins!
  1. Clothes. Don’t get me wrong, I love my shorts and T-shirts. But, I always get a little excited when the temperature starts to drop and sweater season begins. It’s not just sweaters to be excited about though; leggings, jeans, sweatshirts, sweatpants, scarves, boots, and jackets are all back in fashion!
  1. Fall holidays. Halloween and Thanksgiving are coming up fast and it’s hard not to get excited. There probably will not be a Halloween dance this year, but you can still dress up and plan a small get-together with friends and family. Thanksgiving is another reason to celebrate. Luckily, nothing has to change about this holiday. (Note. It’s never too soon to start Christmas planning!)
  1. Bonfires. To some, this may be more of a summer tradition, but sitting around a crackling blaze on a crisp fall night is magical. The lack of mosquitoes is a blessing. Now add s’ mores and some campfire music to the equation and you have the recipe for a perfect night.
