Homecoming royalty battle it out at the 2019-2020 coronation
The Sartell High School royalty gathered last Monday night for coronation to celebrate the 2019-2020 homecoming.
The senior royalty put on a great lip sync battle. There was a wide range of music that kept the crowd excited. When the seniors finished showing off their skills, the winner had to be decided by the faculty royalty. The faculty royalty included Mrs. Smith and Mr. Oistad.
Junior, Sophie Speckard played for the crowd while the faculty discussed who the winners should be of the epic lip-sync battle. She played her ukulele and sang “Skinny Love.”
At the end of the night Emma Lundgren and Ben Boelter took home the bragging rights for the lip sync battle. Their song mashup included “The Cup Song,” “Money in the Grave,” “In my Feelings,” “Shallow,” and “Panini.”
Our MCs, Alex Daniels and Janagan Ramanathan had the crowd laughing all night with some great comedy.
Overall, the royalty felt the night was a success. Evan Templin, sophomore royalty, said, “I was shocked I chosen.”
