A sneakerhead is best defined as a “sneaker enthusiast” or someone who loves shoes, and Sartell High School has a bunch of them.

For week three of “Sneakerhead of the Week” we have a senior, David Plemmel, with his pair of Yeezy Boost 350 v2 Triple White. A modern staple in sneaker culture, the Yeezy has taken the world by storm. Designed by none other than Kanye West and released by Adidas, Yeezys were a middle finger to Nike and the Jordan brands monopoly in the sneaker game. Sought after by everyone and their mothers, Yeezy’s are iconic. Kanye West’s vision and output into the fashion game created a huge hype around these shoes.

When asked what he likes about the shoes, David said, “They’re super comfy. A classic iconic shoe. They’re hyped but not many people have them which makes them really special. And when they’re clean, they look really sick.”

David has been into sneakers since he was a young boy. He recalled fondly his pairs of Nike Free Runs that first got him into sneakers or his first legit pair of Jordans. “I’ve just always liked shoes. It comes naturally.”

David also mentioned that his favorite Yeezy colorway would have to be the Blue tints

Finally, David shared that his dream sneakers were the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Off-White “White.”
