The Sartell Sabres hockey team improves to 6-1 on the season after defeating St. Cloud 3-1.  Maddux Hagy, Conner Kalthoff, and Ryan Zulkosky all scored for the Sabres.

St. Cloud had a rough night in the penalty box, being sent there twice for fighting. St. Cloud was trailing the whole game and often resorted to foul play.

Hockey was not the only focus. Tuesday night’s game was the annual teddy bear toss game. All the fans were encouraged to bring a teddy bear to throw on the ice after the second period. The bears were then donated to the Toys for Tots foundation who gives them to families who can not afford to buy Christmas gifts for their kids.

Our boys’ hockey team worked very hard this off-season. [They are] well coached and Tuesday was another part of that process. I’m excited to see how they do this year!”
