Last Sunday in Galion, Ohio a little 5-year-old boy fell sick and went to the hospital and tested positive for methamphetamine. It wasn’t because it was in the candy, but because of his fake vampire teeth that were in his mouth.

The little boy was trick-or-treating Sunday afternoon. The boy then fell sick and had a seizure.  He felt disoriented, didn’t know who he was or anyone else was, and he didn’t know where he was. His mother then rushed him to the hospital. They then asked the boy if he had anything in his mouth before and the only thing he said was fake vampire teeth. They then sent those teeth in, and they tested the boy and found methamphetamine in his urine. The mom said that at the hospital you could tell he was really high and he was having mood swings and acting out aggressively. The boy was taken home and became tired as he was coming down.

Police say don’t throw away your fake teeth because this is a rare case, but they do say watch out for anything suspicious with your Halloween stuff. Look for open bags or holes in anything like candy or costumes. Throw away any candy that has holes in the wrapping or has suspicious casing around it.
