The Vikings game on Sunday, September 16 against the Packers was held at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. It was going to be a very close game and a good one to watch as well.

In the first half, Packers were up 0-7 with a touchdown by Josh Jackson. Vikings soon answered with Kirk Cousins making a pass to Laquon Treadwill, with Danial making the kick for the extra point.

In the second quarter, Aaron Rodger’s made a 9 yard pass to Davante Adams for a 7-14 lead. Later in that quarter, the Packers answer back with Mason Crosby making a huge 37 yard field goal with a lead of 7-17.

During the third quarter, there wasn’t much from the Vikings. The Packers, on the other hand, persisted with Crosby making another field goal at 40 yards. All looks lost for the Vikings until Cousins makes a 3 yard pass to Stephan Diggs, with Carlson making the extra point, making it 14-20. Crosby again made another outstanding field goal at 31 yards, with Packers leading 14-23.

The Vikings knew they needed to make a big play to comeback into the game, and they did just that with Cousins making a 75 yard pass to Diggs, and Carlson making the field goal which lead to a score of 21-23. Packers at this point were trying to get Crosby into field goal range. Crosby one ups his 40 yard field goal and makes a 47 yard field goal kick, with a new score of 21-26, but Crosby was not finished yet. He made another 36 yard field goal with 1:45 left in the game, making the score 21-29. There were just seconds left of play, but the Vikings didn’t give up. Cousins threw a 22 yard pass to Adam Thielen, making the extra two-point conversion pass to Diggs.

The two teams were taking it to overtime, with Crosby starting out with missed field goal at 52 yards. It was very hard for these two teams to make these field goals at a very long range, with Carlson missing a 49 yard field goal, sending it wide right. The Vikings had one more play that they could run.  With the clock running down Carlson takes the field, ready for a 35 yard field goal. He has made these field goals all game, but when it came down to press, Carlson missed the 35 yard field goal going wide right again, ending the game with a 29-29 tie.

The two teams both did outstanding, with Crosby making 19 points for his team, while Carlson only made 3 points.
