Yoga is an awesome exercise that is not only enjoyable and relaxing, but there are also many benefits of practicing this ancient art. Yoga is extremely good for your body; there are numerous physical benefits. Some of them being increased flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone, as well as improved respiration, energy, and vitality.

Yoga has also been incorporated into practices for many sports teams because of the physical benefits like improved athletic performance and protection from injury. Luke Spanier on the hockey team states, “Yes, I definitely noticed a difference. It decreases the chance of injury while it also increases the range of motion. Yoga also just feels great and loosens everything up.”

Yoga is said to be very effective in the development of coping skills and also embracing a more positive outlook on life.
