Sartell Cross Country continued their winning ways, again prevailing with another meet victory, this time at a hilly Fergus Falls course on September 28th.

Ryan Fernholz was the first varsity boys’ runner in the chute for Sartell, with a time of 16:41. Ryan finished 3rd overall out of 133 other runners. The varsity team won their race with a score of 49, beating CLC foe Alexandria who had 98 and Class A powerhouse, Perham, who had 102. Zach Harren was the overall winner for the junior varsity boys and the race, coming in with a time of 17:42. The JV boys’ top finishers went 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, completely obliterating the rest of the competition with an overall score of 23, compared to next closest Moorhead, who had 87.

The Sartell JH boys were unable to overcome a very fast Bemidji JH team. Sartell finished with 51 points, and Bemidji won the race with 35. The first finisher for the JH boys was 8th grader Logan Clark, who finished with a time of 11:48. The Sabres’ next meet is on October 7th at Alexandria’s Arrowwood resort for the Alexandria Meet of Champions.
