Every year, Minnesotans are faced with the very important question of where to travel to in the fall. Here is a list of beautiful places to see the changing leaves across Minnesota.

 

Mississippi river bluffs: The Minnesota river bluff trails follow an old railroad from Hopkins through Eden Prairie to Shakopee. It is a 27 mile trail in total with great views along the way.

Sawtooth Mountains: The Sawtooth mountains are a mountain range located on the north shore in Lutsen, Minnesota. They are home to many mountain peaks and waterfalls. You can visit some of these sites at the Cascade River State Park, Superior Hiking Trail, and the Temperance River State Park.

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum: The Minnesota  landscape arboretum is an arboretum located near Chanhassen. Admission prices are $12 for adults and free for kids 12 and under.

Chain of Lakes: At the chain of lakes there are concerts at lake Harriet, and there are paved trails for walking, biking, and skating.

Tettegouche State Park: This state park is located about 58 miles north of Duluth. This park is full of trails that overlook valley and waterfalls. It is breathtaking to see during the fall because of all the changing colors.

Gooseberry falls: Gooseberry falls is about 13 miles north of Two Harbors. It holds beautiful waterfalls, and you can even camp there.

Around Sartell:

Bend in the River Park: Bend in the River Park is in Rice. It has scenic overlooks of the river and a few miles of trails.

Mississippi River Park: The Mississippi River Park is located north of Sartell. There are picnic tables and disc golf courses. There are also lots of trails and wildlife.

Munsinger Gardens: Munsinger Gardens are beautiful at this time of year. Even though there are not many flowers blooming, the view of the river is gorgeous.

The St. Cloud Quarries: At the quarries, there is swimming and hiking trails. Admission is $5 and are located in Stearns County.
