In Becker on Thursday, the cast and crew of Sartell’s one-act play (including me) took home the 1st place medal to advance to sections in Alexandria.

The play, Almost, Maine, follows a series of love stories set on a single night in a fictional town in Maine. This past Thursday Sartell faced off against teams from Sauk Rapids, Rocori, St. Cloud Tech, and Becker, coming out as the clear winner when it was announced.

Deserving recognition for Sartell’s performance is the director, the actors, and the stage crew. In his first year directing the One-act play is Grant Strom, who some of you may know as the accompanist for Sartell’s choirs. Working as crew are Mickey Czech and Kaleb Fisher. And the actors, pictured left to right, Reece Decker, Sierra Moore, Lydia Zipp, the ever talented Matt Schnettler, his loveable sidekick Nick Hill, and Nicole Yang.

Sartell will advance to sections this Thursday to take on teams from all around the CLC area in the regional championship in Alexandria. If they succeed, they advance to the state showcase with teams from all around, you guessed it, Minnesota. Updates to come if they win; stay tuned.
