First came Jake Gyllenhaalloween, then Thanksgosling, and now the third and final in my line of celebrity/holiday pun based articles: Brad Pittsmas is here. Now let’s be real, Brad Pitt has not had the best last few years from one of the year’s worst reviewed movies to his divorce with Angelina Jolie. But in the true Christmas spirit, I say we all forgive Brad Pitt this year, and if you’re in the mood for Brad Pitt this Christmas, here are his most Christmas-spirited movies.

5. World War Z

One of the staples of Christmas is family. In World War Z,  Brad Pitt braves hordes of CGI zombies to save his family. It’s a wonder anyone could divorce someone so brave.

4. A River Runs Through It

Sartell students may remember viewing this one in class. Continuing the family theme, Brad Pitt plays the more outgoing of two brothers growing up in the wilds of Montana. It captures some of the best parts of Christmas: trust, family, and love.

3. Fight Club

Brad Pitt’s most critically acclaimed performance and definitely his best movie; Fight Club deserves to be mentioned in any Brad Pitt list. There are themes of enlightenment, redemption, a man in a red coat, and a few miracles.

2. Se7en

Se7en features Brad Pitt in an almost Santa-esque role as he plays a detective tasked with finding a serial killer. Even more interesting, the killer has only been killing people guilty of the seven deadly sins. In the end, it’s Brad Pitt who ends up with a present all wrapped up in a box.

1. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a movie accessible to just about anyone. Brad Pitt plays a person who was born as an old man, but slowly gets younger. A curious case indeed. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is the quintessential Brad Pittsmas movie because of the sense of wonder that it instills. There’s something there that truly captures Christmas
