In an exciting game against Alexandria last night, the girl’s soccer team advanced to the section final.

Senior Maia Trombley scored the one and only goal in the first half. In the second half, Sara Higgins had an incredible PK save, keeping the Sabres in the game. Throughout the competition, the girls kept the ball in Alexandria’s end, proving how strong their offense is. They kept Cardinal’s goalie Emma Zigler or “zig zag swag” as she’s known on social media, on her toes. She put up a good fight. The fan section was electric with intensity.

The “biddies of blue” will take on the Apollo Eagles this Thursday at 7 at St. Cloud State.
